NEW : More than 3200 academic journal titles are now available at the Albright Institute through JSTOR.
The library catalogues of Israel’s universities, as well as those of the majority of Israeli colleges and higher education institutions, share a national union catalogue called MALMAD, which is divided into a union catalogue of books (ULI), a union catalogue of journals (ULS), and a union catalogue of electronic journals (ULE). Access to the electronic journals is available only to authorized students and staff.
Direct access to individual collections of most of the Israeli academic libraries can be found at http://libnet.ac.il/~libnet/malmad-israelnet.htm#OPACs. See also this link for various subsets.
The library of the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) is included in the MALMAD union catalogue, and may also be accessed directly at http://libantiquities.exlibris.co.il/F. Especially noteworthy is the IAA article catalogue.
Another interesting collection is the Index of Articles on Jewish Studies (RAMBI).
Hebrew Journals in JSTOR are now available online for free to any user within Israel through the National Library of Israel. Users must first register for free, and then log-in.
The online catalogue of the Kenyon Institute of the Council for British Research in the Levant (CBRL), formerly the British School of Archaeology in Jerusalem, is available at http://library.cbrl.org.uk/liberty/main.do.
The online catalogue of the Digital Library for International Research (DLIR) serves as the union catalogue for the holdings of more than 25 American overseas research libraries, including the American Center of Oriental Research (ACOR) in Jordan, the Cyprus American Archaeological Research Institute (CAARI), the American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE), the American Research Institute in Turkey (ARIT), the American School of Classical Studies at Athens (ASCSA), the American Academy in Rome (AAR), and the American Institute for Yemeni Studies (AIYS).
