The map is a reproduction of a hand drawn map made by Wilhelm Berg.

The map is in two parts:

Teil I:	Nile from Aswan to the Mediterranean
Teil II:	Wad Medani [Blue Nile] via Khartoum to Aswan.

Each of the two parts is accompanied by a key map and an index.

Part I consists of:	index (p. 3-50),
	key map,
	26 sheets: I – XVIII, XVIIIa, XIX – XXI, XXIa, XXII – XXIV.

Part II consists of:	index (p. 51-76),
	key map,
	23 sheets: II – VIII, X – XI, XIII – XXI, XXIII – XXVII. (Sheets I, IX, XII, XXII of pt. 2 were never printed.)
